1. Acceptance of Terms By accessing the Therapursuit website (psych.therapursuit.com.au), booking an appointment, or engaging our telehealth psychology services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Not a Crisis Service (Important Disclaimer) Therapursuit is not an emergency or crisis service. Our telehealth services are scheduled appointments and are not suitable for individuals at immediate risk of harm to themselves or others.
In an Emergency: If you or someone you know is in danger, call 000 immediately or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
Crisis Support: Contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Suicide Call Back Service on 1300 659 467.
3. Nature of Telehealth Services
Service Delivery: All psychology sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing or telephone.
Technology: You are responsible for ensuring you have a reliable internet connection and a private, quiet space for your session. Therapursuit is not responsible for technical failures on the client's end.
Suitability: While telehealth is effective for many, it may not be suitable for complex conditions requiring high-level support. We reserve the right to decline services if a clinician deems face-to-face care is clinically necessary for your safety.
4. Fees, Payments, and Medicare
Gap Fees: Therapursuit operates as a mixed-billing practice. A standard consultation involves a $78 Gap Fee (after Medicare Rebate) for eligible clients with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Full Fees: If you do not have a Medicare referral, private fees apply.
Payment Timing: Payment of the Gap Fee (or full fee) is due at the time of the appointment.
Medicare Rebates: We process Medicare rebates on your behalf. However, you are responsible for ensuring your Medicare details are up to date. If Medicare rejects a claim, you remain liable for the full cost of the session.
5. Cancellation and Non-Attendance Policy Time is reserved specifically for you. Late cancellations prevent other clients from accessing urgent care.
Notice Period: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellation Fees:
More than 24 hours' notice: No fee.
Less than 24 hours' notice or Non-Attendance: You may be charged a cancellation fee (up to 100% of the session cost).
Repeated Non-Attendance: We reserve the right to terminate services or refuse future bookings for clients with repeated cancellations or "no-shows."
6. User Conduct and Termination We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for abuse. We reserve the right to terminate services immediately if a client engages in:
Abusive, threatening, or harassing behavior towards staff or clinicians.
Intoxication or inappropriate conduct during a telehealth session.
7. Limitation of Liability To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Law, Therapursuit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our liability is limited to the resupply of the service or the cost of the service.
8. Governing Law These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
